VFX Generalists

Job Details

VFX Generalists are required for a new VFX Studio opening in Toronto. The candidates should have a minimal of 3 years experience working within both the broadcast and film VFX industries at the generalist level but with some specialist knowledge. Each candidate should possess strong artistic, technical and team building capabilities as well as being comfortable in dealing with client needs. All candidates will be legally allowed to work in Canada and a resident of Ontario.

The studio’s main production pipeline is Maya and AfterEffects, however candidates should be familiar with all 2D and 3D applications with demonstrated skill in photorealistic compositing, BG painting, character and creature rigging as well as modeling, shader writing and rendering techniques. One position will require a senior generalist with technical directing skills and a healthy understanding of lighting, crowd, fluid and cloth visual effects.

These are full-time salaried positions. The studio will be located in the heart of the entertainment production industry with ready access to paid parking, transit and numerous restaurants. theskonkworks is conducting interviews on behalf of California based VFX clients at the end of February. To qualify for interviews you must have a current demo reel with breakdown list, full resume and three references. In addition as stated, all candidates will be legally allowed to work in Canada and a resident of Ontario.
